What is Hometown Proud you might ask?

This is a community recognition program launched in 2025. It is designed to honor both past and present residents who have significant contributions to our community or who have achieved remarkable success, embodying the spirit of being "Hometown Proud". Annually, up to two individuals will be selected to receive this prestigious recognition. The honorees will have a commemorative sign displayed at the corner of Broadway and Railway for the duration of the year, celebrating their outstanding accomplishments.

Who can submit a nomination?

Anyone is welcome to make a nomination.

How do you make a nomination?

Applications for 2025 will be accepted until May 1, 2025. To submit your nomination click this link to submit it online. If you are having difficulties submitting online, you can submit it by email to info@carnduff.ca or drop it off/mail it to the Town Office.

What information is required for a nomination?

Each application must include:

Nominator name and contact information
Nominee name and contact information
Essay (maximum of 1000 words) explaining why the individual is deserving of the Hometown Proud recognition.

Who will be evaluating applications?

All applications will be evaluated by a select panel of individuals from outside the community.
