    The South East Health District Emergency Medical Services Division (EMS) provides or, the Carnduff Ambulance Service is a one unit service that provides Basic Life Support for the towns of Gainsborough, Carievale, Carnduff & the surrounding municipalities. The current ambulance was purchased by the supporting communities in 2001 & is operated by the Sun Country Regional Health Authority. It is equipped with 2 stretchers & up to date equipment including Fleetnet radios, an Automatic External Defibrillator plus Monitor, & an electronic blood pressure machine.

    Carnduff Ambulance is a full time service employing 3 full time EMT's who participate in ongoing education. The staff are integrated into Sunset Haven nursing home & work as Special Care Aides between ambulance calls. They average approximately 150 calls per year. Carnduff provides support to neighboring ambulance services of Oxbow & Redvers as needed.

    The Carnduff Medical Clinic opened in 1915 and during its time many doctor's have practiced medicine here.  Sadly, Dr. Rupert Prescot, Carnduff's dedicated doctor for the past 35 years, passed away suddenly on October 5th, 2010. He will be greatly missed.   The Town of Carnduff is actively seeking a doctor to hold clinic hours in the new Health Clinic being developed in town. We will keep you posted on any news that becomes available..

    Fire and hazardous materials protection and relief is provided by the Town of Carnduff and the R.M. of Mount Pleasant #2 Fire Department. The fire hall is located at 802 Railway Avenue in the Town Hall Building. It consists, on average, of 9 to 12 volunteer members who meet weekly on Tuesday nights. The current Fire Chief is Rick Wainman, and Deputy Fire Chief is Clint Paton. If you would be interested in becoming a member, please contact the FIRE HALL at (482-3322) or the R.M. Office at 482-3313

    Curb side pick-up is provided by Regens Disposal weekly on Wednesdays. Garbage placed in the grey bins must be bagged. To request a bin, contact the Town Office @ 482-3300. Cost is $96.00/year or $50.00/6 months
    Disposal Site Hours (south of town) are: Summer ~ Tuesdays & Thursdays 4- 8 pm; and Saturdays 9 am to Noon, and 1 - 5pm
    Winter Hours (November to March) are Tuesdays 1-5 pm, and Saturdays 9 am to Noon.

    Carnduff Detachment of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police is staffed with 6 full time Officers, 1 Public Servant, 1 Auxiliary Police Officer, & 2 Victim Services workers. The Detachment is located at 205 - 1st Street East in the Town of Carnduff. If you have any questions please feel free to call 482-4400 or DIAL 911 in case of emergency.

    The Public Health Nurse provides baby clinics in Carnduff a couple of days a month. To book an appointment contact: Carnduff Agencies @ 482-3638. To contact the local Public Health Nurse, call the Galloway Health Centre in Oxbow @ 483-2313

    The Sunset Haven is a retirement home affiliated with the Sun Country Health Region. It has 43 Level 3-4 beds, 18 Enriched Housing beds, & 19 self-contained suites. The facility employs over 65 full & part-time staff from the surrounding area.

    And here's a bit of info: Residents of Sunset Haven make and sell plastic pom-poms for decorating your parade float or cars for weddings, etc. Flowers sell for $25/Bag of 100 flowers. Advance orders are appreciated. Volunteers are always needed and very welcome to join.
